Excellent tips Grant! I’ve been wanting to get to Machu Picchu for a while now. When I do, I will certainly take your advice. Could you tell us how long the 36km hike took you? Seems like a hell of a lot of walking for one day. Also, I loved the video but I would recommend you fine tune the audio levels next time around just because I found that the audio went from low to really high at certain points through out it. I kept having to higher/lower my volume the entire time. LOL! Anyways, other than that, keep up the great work!

I really really want to go to Macchu Picchu so bad! One day. Thanks for the video. It’s always better to find the itinerary on your own for sure.

There is a trail and you have to scale the wall and run up the forbidden terraces….BUT nearly impossible to do now. There is only one access point and it’s the bridge which they now have secured 24-7. If you can get past that you’re good to go but we couldn’t. But our climb was great.

Great video as always! I too was thinking of bypassing the normal route to Machu Picchu. I hear there is a secret trail right up into the ruins.

But that climb you did looked nuts! May have to try that too.
